  1. Chris

Good cookbook, we use it without being on weight-watchers but most recipes are pretty good. There are better cookbook’s out there though, like the Skinny taste line.

  2. Rich Stoehr

Whether or not you’re doing Weight Watchers, whether or not you’re even on a diet, this book is an excellent addition to any cook’s library. The variety of recipes within is excellent, from elaborate to simple, for both carnivores and vegetarians, all prepared using healthy ingredients and methods.

From a purely practical standpoint, this is an easy cookbook to use. The pages are durable enough to withstand a bit of splatter and splash (why yes, I am a messy cook, thanks for asking!), and they are bound separately so that the book can be opened flat on the countertop to the page you want to see, or even removed completely to be put back later.

The book is nicely organized into categories so that if you have only a general idea of what you want or what’s available in the fridge, you can find recipes that fit easily. Ingredients and instructions are laid out nicely on each page, with nutrition information if you need it. For those who are doing the Weight Watchers Flex plan, the Points value per serving for each recipe is also clearly marked. Basics such as pizza dough and pie crust are included, as well as more elaborate and complete meals.

Since I’ve gotten this cookbook, it’s become my go-to source for ideas and good food. I’ve tried many recipes from it so far, ranging from Chicken Hash to Spinach and Cheese Quiche, and so far I have not been disappointed. If you’re trying to eat healthy, there’s lots of excellent and tasty choices here. If you’re just looking for some inspiration, don’t let the WW logo on the cover scare you off…there’s lots of good stuff in here for everyone!

Off to get ready for dinner… tonight, Vegetable Fried Rice! Can’t wait!

I’ll write here the same review as for another WW cookbook taht I use almost everyday (called Great cooking everyday).
I also bought another WW book that I don’t recommend as it has no picture, which gives you no joy in looking for a recipe and cooking it, and whose recipes are not as good and creative, called “Simply the best”.

I bought that book because my fiance is on a WW diet. It is a great book : all the recipes are absolutely delicious(the only thing I corrected is salt. I use a pinch of it instead of 1/8 tspoon), creative, diverse and super easy to cook. Even my fiance, who had never cooked before, use it and acheives great meals.
I would say that a fourth of the recipes have illustrations that let you know what it will look like. This also gives you some pleasure to go through the book when the daily question arises : “what will we eat today?”.
The portions are the weight watchers portions. This means that it fits to a regular slim woman, but I double it for a bigger male eater.
We don’t eat meat, and very little fish. Still, a lot of recipes can be used if you are a vegeterian. Some meat recipes can also be done, using meat substitutes.
I am used to French food and I love this American cookbook. I recommend it to anybody.

I absolutely LOVE this cookbook! It is full of all the basic recipes that one needs to know to cook well and also has many excellent, healthy, good-tasting creations. After I joined Weight Watchers I had to learn how to cook differently. I had always used the Joy of Cooking as a guide, but I needed to learn how to cook with lower fat and calories. I checked out many cookbooks, but this was the best one by far for good, basic “how-to” recipes (sauces, soups, etc.) with lots of calorie-saving and flavorful ideas I would have never thought of. It is wonderful to have “diet” food that everyone loves! Many familiar recipes done differently and lots of new and international ideas too. I got the ring-bound version which stays open while you are using it, which some of the newer WW books don’t have. Nice photos too. An excellent investment!

The recipes all sound very good.
I ordered the spiral bound book. The pages are very thin, is my only drawback.

  6. enots

I ordered this book for my son who recently started wirght watchers. I took the time to go thru the books I ordered for him and found this one has sooo many useful and easy to prepare meals. Each recipe list points and stats on each recipe such as salt, carbs, fiber etc… I think you will find this book very useful. The seller shipped quickly and it was just as discribe in ad.

Product was in perfect condition. Exactly as hoped and expected for. Good heavy book, great price, great condition. No complaints, very very pleased. Lots of awesome and new recipes for anyone who enjoys any of the weight watchers books etc. Another great one!! Definitely recommend!

  14. LCC

I could definitely stay on WW for life with this cookbook. Now, I would like to find one geared to CKD, so I don’t have to make the substitutions.

  15. Jonathan Riley

I ordered the book in a binder (vs bound) and the ring binder separated from the cover not long after I received it. I only have a 4 ring binder of recipes and I have to tuck them into the cover. The publisher could make an adjustment to attach the binder to the spine so it doesn’t fall apart.

  16. Debra Kurpiela

It has many recipes that look good but I haven’t had time to try any as of yet.

  17. Kindle Customer

Well illustrated, easy to read and good points made on heart and overall health.

  18. amanda williams

For when you are cooking but want to have taste and less calories

  19. airflow

  20. Beavo63

The cookbook is put together really well. Plenty of ideas for snacks, meals, desserts, etc. The recipes don’t appear labor intensive and the ingredients are easily found in any grocery store. Additionally, it has suggestions for substitutions within many of the recipes and the number of points that entails. Altogether, this is a quality addition to my cookbook selection and helpful for anyone, like me, following the Weight Watchers plan.

  21. Customer

So far I have only mad one dish from the cook book but it was a hit! I plan on making more dishes form the book. I was surprised the veggie lasagna I made was tasty and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this book for those looking to cook healthy versions of good food.

  22. LP

this book is great! the recipes are super easy and flavorful. my fiance who is a super snotty fine dining chef even likes the recipes and is always surprised when i tell him it’s a ww recipe!
one complaint which has nothing to do with the book is that the ww app doesn’t have these recipes pre-loaded. doh!

  23. GC Gallagher

I am really enjoying cooking with this cookbook. It has really great and tasty recipes and I never feel deprived – quite the opposite. The images are beautiful; the recipes are easy to prepare. I’m loving experimenting with all the cool stuff that’s in it. Points are given for each recipe so you know exactly where you stand.I’ve had friends over and they no idea that their meals are lower in calories at all. The vegetarian lasagna is to die for! The desserts are SO good and you can whip many of them up very quickly.

  24. Ashley Mineola

Wonderful cookbook with tons of healthy recipes. Even if you aren’t on a WW diet this book is worth every penny!

  25. Nana KMO

I thought I was ordering a Freestyle (the new plan) cookbook, so imagine my surprise when my book arrived and it was not based on the new plan! It is nice book, love the spiral-bound format, just wish it was what I thought I was ordering. I an convert the recipes, but…..

  26. Lourdes Cruz

Este recetario tiene bastantes recetas muy accesibles los ingredientes y fáciles de seguir.

  27. Winzinger

On the positive side, it’s well organized and has the info you need about each recipe for the WW program. On the downside, I feel like every single recipe in this book has ingredients that I have to go buy because I don’t normally keep them on hand. I wish they would do a book of good, healthy food with more basic “normal” ingredients.

  28. jerome f. waite

We love the fact that it is broken down into sections like a school binder was in the old days. ( breakfast, slow cooker, poultry etc) Our book arrived with one of the ring binders broken. We elected not to return it as the book is very informative. Wish it gave point count for individual items. All in all very pleased

  29. M. Zeeks

I really love this cookbook! I cannot say enough about this. There are so many recipes that look yummy to try and are yummy once cooked. I haven’t tried everything, but I have tried a bunch of the dinners and desserts. I love french toast, but I do not like it plain. I decided to try the stuffed french toast recipe and it was delicious. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is following Weight Watchers and also anyone just trying to follow a low calorie diet. The cookbook includes the number of calories and other nutrition information such as fat and carbs for anyone who doesn’t use the point system, then also gives points as values for those that do. This is a great cookbook to help you get on track and also have fun with your meals!

  30. Gayla

    Nothing to dislike.

  31. Debra Kurpiela

It has many recipes that look good but I haven’t had time to try any as of yet.

  32. Amy D.

Oh my, this is going great. I received the cookbook four days ago and I’ve already made 4-5 recipes, from main dishes to sides to dessert. I’m not a great cook. I’m very hit and miss (just ask my husband and kids). But I want to make healthier meals so I read the reviews and purchased this cookbook. I’m thrilled! I stocked up on ingredients and I’ve been making an effort. And, alas, it’s paying off! My family raved tonight about the Chicken and Vegetables with Roasted Garlic Sauce and the Eggplant Parmesan Stacks. Fantastic. The recipes aren’t overly involved. They aren’t those simple “4 ingredients and 10 minutes” recipes, but they aren’t difficult, either. I was afraid that the flavor would be lacking, but no such problem. Very, very tasty food. Nicely organized book, as well. Grouped by salads, poultry, beef, sides, vegetarian, dessert, etc. Very glad I bought this.

  33. bsn23

Absolute best. I have been on the hunt for a cookbook with light and vegetarian recipes that are tasty for years. I’ve made six or seven things from this book in the first week I’ve had it and we (me, husband, kids 7, 5, and 3) have loved every single thing (roasted chicken and vegetables, ragu bolognese, lemon bars, falafel pitas, chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, roasted grapes and couscous, romaine and clementine and pecan salad, herbed brown rice, chicken mole, southwestern black bean salad). This is absolutely my new go-to. Other reviews have said the recipes are too complicated — I’d agree that the recipes are not “easy” or “beginner” or “five ingredient” — definitely a step above what you find in magazines, for example. For someone who is already confident in the kitchen, these recipes are more than manageable. The other negative thing I saw is that kids won’t eat it. I guess it depends on your kids. My kids aren’t picky eaters to start with, and they like these recipes as much as everything else I make.

  34. Champagne

Bound in looseleaf book, hard cover, beautifully designed. Organized, helpful, just what I was looking for. Easy to follow recipes for everyone in the household, whether they be on a diet or not. Great value for the money. Laminated covers. Easy to use tabs define every category. Directions easy to follow.

  35. ww Customer

I found several good recipes in this book, but doesn’t say if it is using smart points Weight Watchers new point system..

  36. L Baumann

This is a great collection of recipes for someone wanting to start their WW journey. Spiral bound, many tabbed sections and a great variety of recipes. I would highly recommend.

  37. Kristy

I bought this book used and it’s in perfect condition! It is bigger than what I was expecting but it’s extremely organized & easy to follow. Weight Watchers point system is listed for each recipe. Super easy to meal plan!

  38. Shirley S

Weight Watchers is a proven way to lose weight, their knowledge and success spans 60 years. There are some really good recipes in this book, we have already tried several. Highly recommend.

  39. S. Crome

At first I wasn’t impressed when I glanced through it but so far my family and I have liked every recipe. We’ve placedsmiley faces next to the recipes we especially like so we know to make them again.

  40. Justine S.

Great recipes with reasonable point values for every level of experience with cooking.

  41. Kindle Customer

Well illustrated, easy to read and good points made on heart and overall health.

  42. Darren

great recipes. taste perfect. although the points listed under the recipe are different when I add the nutritional facts into my ww calculator.

  43. Mary L

I find this cookbook very helpful. It is geared for those that are following the Weight Watchers lifestyle.

  44. customer

This a great WW smart points cookbook – I’m not into cooking but I love the wide array of recipes with ingredients I most often have already .
The meat sauce lasagna is yummy!!

  45. Robin Hope

Complete book from soup to nuts. Easy to follow directions and delicious meals. If you get only 1 cookbook. Get this 1

  46. Victoria

I use this cookbook every week. There are a ton of different recipes and it is up to date with the new smart points. Very happy with this purchase, I also ordered one for my mother.

  47. zeplynne

I bought it just for the front cover! Anything that can still get me some type of French fries and beef I have to try it out. Really nice mix up of all kinds of recipes. Some take work, time and money; others are affordable and easy. Overall a pretty nice little book.

  48. Anna

This cookbook offers great healthy, alternative recipes for common daily dishes. The quiche and the vegetable mac and cheese are my top picks. I’ve tried a few recipes that didn’t turn out quite right, but overall this is a very helpful book. It offers a good variety for a amateur cooking level and is easy to follow.

  49. Laura Ashley

I absolutely love this cookbook there are tons of recipes and each one has all the nutritional information and weight watcher points. The best part is that most of the points are less than 10 points per serving so that is a lot of options if you are following the Weight Watchers plan. wwdietplanbooks is the best place to buy this book out local stores had this book on display for way more money!!! if you are just starting Weight Watchers or have been on it for a long time you will love this amazing new recipe book packed full of yummy options!

  50. Brooklynn

Product was in perfect condition. Exactly as hoped and expected for. Good heavy book, great price, great condition. No complaints, very very pleased. Lots of awesome and new recipes for anyone who enjoys any of the weight watchers books etc. Another great one!! Definitely recommend!

    Highly recommend

  52. Munchkin the Reviewer

👍I found this book to be of great value while on the diet.
👍The recipes are easy to follow and quick to make
👍I also found the ingredients are always handy
🧐After starting the diet I was eating the same thing every day and losing weight but it was boring. This book really helped add some variety.

  53. Sheena Marie Evans

This is a good cookbook for the older weight watchers program. It does not have the blue, green and purple smart points in it that weight watchers uses today.

  54. Margaret Sharp

A gift for a friend. She has tried several recipes and is very happy with it. She loves that it has WW points calculated.

  55. Shirley S

Weight Watchers is a proven way to lose weight, their knowledge and success spans 60 years. There are some really good recipes in this book, we have already tried several. Highly recommend.

  56. Maggie1106

Wow! A cookbook I will actually use more than 5 recipes from! I love this cookbook and the organization is great! It is a binder cookbook with tabs by category and the recipes are normal, easy to follow and give you points for WW. What more could you ask for?

  57. C. Nussbaum

Now this is more like it! I bought the Ultimate Eight Loss personal Points Beginner’s Guide for $46.53….totally not worth it AND the price has come way down from 2 months ago! I wonder why? Then I bought this cookbook for $29.39! I cannot believe the difference! Beautiful & big cookbook.

  58. Barb kohl

    Easy to follow recipes.

  59. Mimi in Louisiana

Wish it had more cooking for two
